CHRIS MILLADO

Chris Millado is currently the Vice President and Artistic Director of the Cultural Center of the Philippines.  He oversees the programming of the whole artistic season of the center and the nine (9) Resident Companies.  Some of the Festivals he has curated include:  the annual Pasinaya CCP Open House Festival, Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival, International Theater Festival, National Theater Festival, the International Choral Festival, among others. An accomplished stage director and playwright, his works have been produced in Manila, San Francisco, Chicago, Hawaii, and New York (May-i Theater, Julliard School).

Sa halos dalawang taóng pandemya, may natatanging halaga pa rin kayâ haraya at pagtulâ? Paano dumadaloy sa mga taludtod ang mayayaman at hindi pangkaraniwang danas ng mga tinatawang ngayong ‘frontliners’?

Sa Performatura Festival, saksikhan ang iba’t ibang danas at pagtula sa pandemya mulâ mismo sa mga taliba at bayani ng mapanghámong panahon. Itatampok ng mga pagtatangal ang mga makatang frontliners at mga kaanib ng Linangan sa Imahen, Retorika, at Anyo (LIRA), kasama ang kanilang mga pagtatangkang ipahayag ang mga paglalakbay, pangarap, at paulit-ulit na pagtindig sa harap ng krisis pangkalusugan

LINANGAN SA IMAHEN, RETORIKA, AT ANYO

Linangan sa Imahen, Retorika, at Anyo (LIRA) is an NGO group of Filipino writers founded by Virgilio S. Almario in 1985. Their main mission is to strengthen and develop traditional and modern Filipino poetry. Among their vast list of writers that have gone under their wing are Michael M. Coroza, Rebecca Añonuevo, Jerry B. Gracio, and Edgar Calabia Samar. Through guiding new poets on their craft, organizing events, and collecting poetry, LIRA has thus become one of the country’s premiere literary groups.

PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSOCIATION OF THE PHILIPPINES

A collaboration between registered psychometricians and psychologists, the Psychological Association of the Philippines (PAP) dedicates itself to the excellence in the discipline, teaching, research, and practice of psychology. It was founded in 1962 is thus the oldest and largest accredited organization of professional psychologists in the country.

PHILIPPINE PSYCHIATRIC ASSOCIATION

MAKATANG ASIANO

Mga manunulat, mga manlilikha at mga makatang binuklod ng iisang diwa.  Grupo na binubuo ng mga doktor, nurses at mga iba pang mga kawani ng ospital na naglalayong gamitin ang kanilang talento upang makapaghilom at maging daan ng kagalingan ng mga pasyente at kanilang mga kawani. Ito ay bunga ng masidhing kagustuhang  makapag dala ng insipirasyon at liwanag sa mga pasyenteng na bubulid sa kadiliman ng kanilang sakit at karamdaman. 

DR. RHODORA ANDREA CONCEPCION

Si Dr. Rhodora Andrea M. Concepcion ay pangulo ng Philippine Society for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dati rin siyang pangulo ng Philippine Psychiatric Association, mula 2018 hanggang 2019. Siya ay consultant psychiatrist sa Lung Center of the Philippines, Philippine Heart Center, Angeles University Foundation Medical Center, Angeles City Sacred Heart Medical Center, at Shelter of Goodwill Health Services.

Bukod sa pagiging manggagawang pangkalusugan, Si Doc Rhea ay mang-aawit at alagad ng sining, may malalim na interest sa paglalakbay at potograpiya.

MIGNODEL MORALES

Tubong Lipa, Batangas, nagtapos ng kursong Nursing sa Lyceum of the Philippines University Batangas Nakapaglingkod ng 4 na taon sa pampublikong ospital at kasalukuyang nagtatarabaho bilang Patient Safety Officer ng Asian Hospital and Medical Center. Isang professor din sa LPU Batangas na naglilinang ng mga susunod na Nurses ng bayan. Mahigit kumulang na 15 taon na volunteer sa Red Cross na nagbibigay ng serbisyo sa totoong nangangailangan. Ang kanyang mga akda ay patungkol sa pagbibigay inspirasyon sa tao at pagpapamulat sa realidad ng mundo. Ang kanyang motibo sa pagsulat ay magpaningas at magpaalab sa kagustuhan ng pagbabago, pag ibig at paglinang ng mga talento nang makakabasa nito. Isang manunulat, makata, guro, lider, at Isang nars.

DR. P.J. BENGWASAN

Peejay‌ ‌is‌ ‌a‌ ‌clinical‌ ‌psychologist‌ ‌and‌ ‌researcher‌ ‌by‌ ‌profession,‌ ‌who‌ ‌incorporates‌ ‌the‌ ‌use‌ ‌of‌ ‌arts‌ ‌in helping individuals deal with emotional and psychological concerns. He likewise conducts talks, seminars, and training dealing with psychology and the arts, and sometimes acts as host, moderator, and facilitator for various events around the country.

As a graduate of the Center for Culture and the Arts of Saint Louis University, he was recognized as the “Most Outstanding Member” in 2011. He trained under the resident theater company, Tanghalang SLU, and held his post as president from 2009 to 2011. Peejay is currently the President of the SLU-CCA Alumni Association.

He wrote musical plays such as “The Little Glass Slipper” (2011) and “Inglay” (2012). He also co-wrote and co-directed “SALIGIA: The Seven Deadly Sins” (2015) and “Epiko: Digmaan, Kamatayan, at and Pakikipagsapalaran ng Buwan” (2019).

TONY LEACHON

Dr. Anthony Leachon is a multi-awarded Filipino physician-leader, preventive health education, and health reform advocate. He was one of The Outstanding Filipino Physicians (TOFP) in 2008 and The Outstanding Filipino In Medicine (TOFIL) in 2010. He is a graduate of the UST Faculty of Medicine and Surgery Class and a leading internist at the Manila Doctors Hospital. He served as president of the Philippine College of Physicians and the UST Medical Alumni Association.

At the start of the pandemic in March 2020, he was designated by the Philippine government as Special Adviser to the National Task Force on COVID-19.

LEILANI JOY R. IGARTA

Higit na kilala si Leilani Joy Igarta bilang LJ, isang registered medical technologist. Manager siya ng Cardiovascular Catheterization Laboratory ng Asian Cardiovascular Institute sa Asian Hospital and Medical Center, Alabang, Lungsod ng Muntinlupa.

JOAVANNI M. PACALDO

Joavanni M. Pacaldo is a full-time faculty and the chairperson of the Performing Arts Program at the University of Cebu, main campus.

Mr. Pacaldo is currently a candidate for a Ph.D. in English with a specialization in Literature at the University of San Jose-Recoletos. He earned his MST-Literature from the University of Cebu, main campus. He is a scholar of NCCA, PCEP-GDTA Program in Cebu, Region 7. A pioneering member of the Theater Workshop Company. Aside from being a Literature and Humanities teacher, he has had various training in Theater Arts and conducted workshops and seminars to the different communities in Cebu.

DR. JOEY TABULA

Dr. Joey Tabula (Joti) is a medical doctor and poet, hailing from San Antonio, Zambales in the Philippines.

Joti is a co-editor of the literary anthology “Pagninilay: Hinga, Hingal, at Hingalo sa Panahon ng Pandemya” (published in 2020), together with Doctors Alvin B. Caballes and Noel P. Pingoy. It is part of a three-volume book series launched by the Philippine General Hospital’s (PGH) Human Spirit Project, an online archive that documents the stories of the people who work in the frontlines.

He is the current President of the Linangan sa Imahen, Retorika at Anyo (LIRA), Inc and a board member of Unyon ng mga Manunulat sa Pilipinas (UMPIL).

MARK PÚGNIT BONÁBON

Si Mark P. Bonabon ay paragsiday (makata sa wikang Waray/Lineyte-Samarnon), at guro sa senior high school mula sa Biri, Hilagang Samar. Naging writing fellow siya sa Lamiraw (2017 at 2019), isang taunang creative writing workshop sa Silanganing Bisayas; sa Iligan National Writers Workshop (2018), Palihang LIRA (2020), at Palihang Rogelio Sicat 14 (2021). Nailathala ang ilan sa kaniyang mga katha sa Philippines Graphic, Liwayway, The Modern Teacher, at ilan pang antolohiyang pampanitikan. Sinisikap niya ring tahakin ang larang ng pagsasalin sa Waray.

Kasalukuyan niyang tinatapos ang kaniyang Master of Arts in Language and Literature (MALL) sa Unibersidad ng Silanganing Pilipinas. 

Miyembro siya ng Katig-uban han Magsusurat ha Sinirangan Bisayas (KATIG), at ng Linangan sa Imahen, Retorika at Anyo (LIRA).

TRESIA SIPLANTE TRAQUEÑA

Si Tresia Siplante Traqueña ay nagtapos ng Senior High School sa Politeknikong Unibersidad ng Pilipinas at kasalukuyang kumukuha ng Batsilyer sa Edukasyong Filipino sa Philippine Normal University. Isa sa pinakabatang miyembro ng Linangan sa Imahen, Retorika, at Anyo.

Ang ilan sa kaniyang mga tula ay nailathala sa Baga Mga Piling Tula mula sa LIRA Fellows 2018, Aklas (The Torch Publications), Philippines Graphic, The Sunday Times, TLDTD, at Ani 41.

Bukod sa pagsulat, nahihilig din siya sa memes at pagkuha ng retrato at siya’y kasalukuyang freelance photograher (IG account: @retratista_filipinas).

Naniniwala siyang marupok ang lahat ng umiibig.

MIA FRANCESCA LAUENGCO

Si Mia Lauengco ay isang communications strategist kapuwa sa mga pribadong institusyon at mga non-government organization. Naging manunulat at Filipino news editor para sa ilang print at online media. Nalathala ang ilan sa kanyang mga tula sa antolohiyang LIRA 30, sa librong Lila: Mga Tula, at sa MEG Magazine. Paminsan-minsan din siyang nagtatanghal ng tula, umaarte sa teatro, at nagho-host ng mga event gaya ng Performatura 2019, LIRAhan, at iba pang mga pribadong kaganapan. Naging kasapi siya ng LIRA noong 2014, at nagsilbi bilang Ugnayang Pangmadla ng LIRA noong 2015 hanggang 2017. Nagtapos siya ng kursong BA Communication Research sa University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman noong 2013 at kasalukuyang binubuno ang Master of Development Communication sa UP Open University.

HANNAH ADTOON LECEÑA

Si Hannah A. Leceña ay pampublikong guro mula sa Region 12. Siya ay nagtapos ng BSEd-Filipino sa Mindanao State University General Santos City (Cum Laude) at Masterado sa Sining ng Edukasyon Medyor sa Filipino sa Pamantasan ng Notre Dame of Marbel. Siya ay spoken word performer. Naging fellow siya ng Davao Writing Workshop ‘18, Bathalad-Sugbu Creative Writing Workshop ‘19, Iligan National Writing Workshop ‘19, 20th IYAS National Writing Workshop 2020, 59th Silliman University National Writers Workshop, 5th Amelia Lapena-Bonifacio Writers Workshop for Spoken Word at Gemino Abad Seminar Workshop for Teachers in Creative Writing.

Ang kanyang mga Sugilanon ay nagkamit ng Jimmy Balacuit Literary Awards at Satur Apoyon Prize. Siya ay kontribyutor ng Cotabato Literary Journal, Mga Kuwentong Obrero ng IOSAD, Katitikan, Sun Star Davao, Dagmay, Dadiangas Review, Luntian Online Journal, SAHAYA ng SWF at Diliman Review. Siya ay finalist ng PNU Normal Awards para sa pagsusulat ng Nobelang Pangkabataan.
